Deafhood 201 is a 20-hour class that continues to explore topics that were covered in the introductory Deafhood 101 class. These topics include: raising consciousness within our community, discussion of oralism and its impacts, residential schools and the Deaf education, a need for “Deaf Identity Restoration” program, Deaf clubs and third places and their importance in our community, healthy identity for all Deaf people, discourses and why this is critical to unlocking doors to our future, and the need for healing within our community.
